Privacy Policy

Data controller: Gergely Gombás, sole proprietor (egyéni vállalkozó) (registration number: 62764164, tax number: 92342554-1-42, registered address: 1067 Budapest, Eötvös utca 24., Hungary, email: hello@sitewright.hu, phone: +36 30 729 1638). This notice covers the personal data processed on sitewright.hu and during my service, under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Hungarian Act CXII of 2011 on informational self-determination.

Contact form, email, and phone: the data you enter in the form (name, email address, optionally your business name and location, your message, and, if you come from the calculator, the package you put together) the emails you send me, and what you tell me by phone are used only to answer your inquiry and to prepare the demo or quote you asked for. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Retention: if no order follows, at most 12 months, after which I delete it.

Orders and invoicing: if you place an order, I process the data needed to perform the contract (contact person's name and email, business details, the content you hand over) on the basis of performing the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). Invoices and accounting records must be kept for 8 years under Section 169 of Hungarian Act C of 2000 on accounting (GDPR Art. 6(1)(c)).

Client project form: the data entered in the separate project form I send to clients (branding, copy, images, contact details, billing details) is used only to build that client's website and to invoice, on the basis of performing the contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)), until the contract ends; billing details are kept with the invoice for 8 years. Because submitting the form places the order, I record the time of acceptance, the effective date of the accepted Terms, and the submitter's IP address as proof of the contract. Legal basis: legitimate interest in proving that the contract was formed (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). Retention: 5 years from the end of the contract, the general limitation period under the Hungarian Civil Code.

Analytics: this site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, stores nothing on your device, and builds no individual profile: it only provides anonymous, aggregated statistics (e.g. page views, which page, what type of device). Legal basis: my legitimate interest in measuring how the site works (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)). This is why no cookie-consent banner is needed.

Bot protection: the forms on this site are protected against spam and automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile. For this, Cloudflare processes technical data (e.g. IP address, browser characteristics), and on submission the server checks the result with Cloudflare together with the IP address, solely to decide whether a human is filling in the form. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in keeping the service secure (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

Exchange rate lookup: for the euro estimates on the Pricing page, your browser fetches the European Central Bank's daily rate from the public frankfurter.dev service through my own domain. The request contains no cookie, identifier, or data you entered; it is relayed by Netlify's server, so, as with any internet request, connection data (e.g. IP address) is technically visible to Netlify.

Processors acting on my behalf: Netlify, Inc. (101 2nd Street, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA): hosting and receiving form submissions; Cloudflare, Inc. (101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA): analytics and bot protection; Migadu-Mail GmbH (Rohnen 587, 9414 Schachen, Switzerland): hosting of the hello@sitewright.hu mailbox. Netlify and Cloudflare may also process data in the United States; such transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Switzerland provides an adequate level of protection under a European Commission adequacy decision. I don't share data with any other third party, and I never sell it.

Local storage: the site only stores your theme choice (light or dark mode) in your browser (localStorage), so it looks the same next time. It sends no data anywhere and can't be used to identify you.

Your rights: you can ask me what data I hold about you and for a copy of it (access); ask for it to be corrected, deleted, or its processing restricted; object to processing based on legitimate interest; and ask to receive the data you gave me in a machine-readable format (portability). I reply within one month at the latest. Send your request to hello@sitewright.hu.

Complaints: if you feel I've breached your data protection rights, you can complain to the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH, 1055 Budapest, Falk Miksa utca 9–11., ugyfelszolgalat@naih.hu, www.naih.hu), or go to court. Please write to me first; I may be able to sort it out quickly.
