These Terms and Conditions govern website development and maintenance services provided by Sitewright (Gergely Gombás, sole proprietor (egyéni vállalkozó), registration number: 62764164, tax number: 92342554-1-42, registered address: 1067 Budapest, Eötvös utca 24., Hungary) to the client.

The process starts with a free, no-obligation demo: Sitewright builds the demo from the client's publicly available data and presents it in one walkthrough. Building and presenting the demo does not by itself create any payment obligation. Any further work (changing the demo, adding content supplied by the client, building the final version) requires an order.

Order: the contract is formed when the client accepts Sitewright's order summary. The summary states the chosen package (Starter, Business, or a custom quote) and extras, the one-time and monthly fees, and the delivery deadline. Acceptance may be given in writing (email counts), or by submitting the online project form Sitewright sends, on which the client expressly accepts the summary and these Terms by ticking a checkbox; the form cannot be submitted without it. By accepting it, the client also accepts these Terms. As proof that the contract was formed, Sitewright keeps the time of acceptance, the effective date of the accepted Terms, and the submitter's IP address. Fees are the amounts published on the Pricing page at the time of the order or, for a custom quote, those stated in the quote.

Fees: packages consist of a one-time fee and a monthly maintenance fee (the latter waivable if the client chooses their own hosting), at the current amounts published on the Pricing page. Half of the one-time fee is due as a deposit when the order is placed, and the remaining half before launch; work starts once the deposit arrives. The monthly maintenance fee is billed monthly in advance. Invoices are payable within 8 days of issue. For a handover without a monthly fee, the higher one-time fee published on the Pricing page applies. The domain is registered in the client's name, and the client pays the domain registrar directly; setting up the domain is included in the package price.

Late payment: if an invoice is still unpaid 8 days after its due date, Sitewright sends an email reminder with a further 8-day grace period. If that also passes without payment, Sitewright may suspend the monthly service (hosting, maintenance, content updates) until the debt is settled; during this time the website is offline. Suspension does not affect the obligation to pay. Late payment of more than 30 days is a material breach and entitles Sitewright to terminate with immediate effect. Late payment interest is due under the Hungarian Civil Code.

Delivery and cooperation: the client provides the content needed for the final version (copy approval, images, logo, required access) within 14 days of the order; the delivery deadline runs from the date the complete content arrives. The price includes 2 rounds of changes after the order; further changes are billed at the hourly rate published on the Pricing page.

Withdrawing after the order: if the client withdraws from the order before launch, or does not provide the content or respond to Sitewright's messages within 60 days of the order, Sitewright may terminate the contract in writing. In that case the deposit paid is retained as payment for the work done so far, and the client owes nothing further. If Sitewright cannot fulfil the order, it refunds the deposit. For consumer clients, the withdrawal rules below apply.

Content updates: the monthly hour allowance included with the chosen package may be used for content updates, counted in 15-minute units; unused hours don't roll over to the next month. A content update means replacing content in an existing place (text, images, prices, opening hours, notices, items in an existing list). New sections, new pages, new features, layout or design changes, and copy written from scratch count as additions. Requests are sent by email; Sitewright publishes them within 2 working days. Work beyond that is billed at the extra prices, size bands, or hourly rate published on the Pricing page.

Cancellation: the monthly maintenance service may be cancelled at any time, with 30 days' notice, effective at the end of the current month. If cancelled within the first 12 months of maintenance, the difference between the no-monthly-fee package price and the fees already paid (one-time fee and monthly fees), if positive, is due on handover. On cancellation, Sitewright hands the site over to the client's own accounts (hosting, code repository) within 14 days after the notice period ends or, if that isn't technically possible, the wind-down is agreed individually. If there is overdue debt, the handover takes place once it is settled.

Right of withdrawal: consumer clients have a 14-day right of withdrawal under EU distance-contract rules (Directive 2011/83/EU). If the client expressly requests immediate commencement of work and consents to this, the right of withdrawal may be limited in proportion to the work already performed. This right does not apply to business (non-consumer) clients. To withdraw, send a clear statement to hello@sitewright.hu, for example: “I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the website development service. Ordered on: … Name: … Address: … Date: …” On withdrawal, Sitewright refunds the amount paid, less a proportionate fee for work already performed, within 14 days at the latest.

Intellectual property: the rights to use the website's source code and design remain with Sitewright until the full fee is paid. On full payment, the client acquires an exclusive licence for their own website, unlimited in time and territory, including the right to modify and transfer it. Content supplied by the client (copy, images, logo) remains the client's; the client warrants that they are entitled to use it. General code not created specifically for the client (e.g. shared components) remains licensed by Sitewright; the client may use it without restriction on their own site.

Reference: the finished website carries a small “Made by Sitewright” link in its footer, and Sitewright may show the site as a reference (name, screenshot, short case study). The client may have the link and the reference use left out for the surcharge published on the Pricing page. Sitewright asks for a review only after the full fee has been paid; giving one is voluntary and does not affect the fee.

Liability: Sitewright performs the work with reasonable care and skill but does not guarantee specific business outcomes (e.g. traffic, conversions, revenue). Unless otherwise required by law, liability is limited to the fees actually paid by the client.

Complaints: complaints about the service can be sent to hello@sitewright.hu; Sitewright replies in writing, with reasons, within 30 days. If a complaint is rejected, consumer clients may turn to the conciliation board competent for their place of residence; the board competent for Sitewright's registered address is the Budapest Conciliation Board (Budapesti Békéltető Testület), 1016 Budapest, Krisztina krt. 99. I. em. 111., postal address: 1253 Budapest, Pf. 10., email: bekelteto.testulet@bkik.hu, bekeltet.bkik.hu.

Governing law: this contract is governed by Hungarian law; the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent court in Budapest, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.

Effective date: these Terms apply from 29 September 2026. Each order is governed by the version in effect on the day it is accepted.
